Choose the Right Mercer Contact
Mercer County does not operate one public county jail. Start with the arresting office for a police report, the Mercer jailer for housing and transport questions, the named host facility for its jail file or photo, and the court clerk for the case outcome.

The court clerk is the official route for case filings and dispositions after booking.
Use the route that matches the question:
- For a booking photo, record, current host roster, or removal-law path, use the Mercer County search hub.
- For a warrant question, use Most Wanted Fugitives and call the sheriff or court.
- For a recent arrest, check the official host rosters and dated arrest sources linked from the home page.
- For state custody or supervision, use the Kentucky Department of Corrections KOOL search.
- For federal custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator. Immigration custody uses the separate ICE locator.
